More than 70 years alongside the immigrant community

Hermandad Mexicana Nacional was founded in 1951 to defend immigrant workers. Under the leadership of activist Bert Corona it grew into one of California’s best-known immigrant service organizations. Today our mission is the same: keeping families together.

Before your consultation

What should I bring to my consultation?

An ID and any immigration documents you have: USCIS letters, cards, passport and, if you have them, court documents. If you don’t have everything, come anyway — we’ll tell you what’s missing.

I don’t live near an office. Can you help me?

Yes. We offer consultations by phone and by video. Call (424) 456-6000 or request an appointment with the form on this page.

Do I need an appointment?

We recommend booking so we can see you faster, but we also welcome walk-ins during office hours.

Are you lawyers?

We are not a law firm. We are a nonprofit organization with representatives accredited by the U.S. Department of Justice for immigration matters. When your case needs an attorney, we refer you to licensed immigration attorneys.

Do you serve clients in English?

Yes. Every office serves clients in Spanish and English.
