DACA
USCIS I-821D, I-765
We help you renew Deferred Action (DACA) and your work permit on time, and keep you informed about the program’s current status.
Who this is for
- People who currently have, or previously had, DACA
- Came to the U.S. before turning 16
- Were under 31 on June 15, 2012
- Have lived in the U.S. continuously since June 15, 2007
Renew on time
USCIS recommends filing your renewal 120 to 150 days before your DACA expires. Waiting too long can leave you without a work permit for a while.
What we do
- Confirm you still meet the guidelines
- Prepare Forms I-821D, I-765 and the I-765WS worksheet
- Review any travel, arrests or changes since your last renewal
Current program status
Because of federal court decisions, the DACA rules have changed several times. USCIS continues to process renewals, but first-time requests may be limited. Call us before you apply to learn the latest status.

Frequently asked questions
My DACA already expired. Can I still renew?
If it expired less than a year ago you can usually still file as a renewal. If it has been more than a year, the case is handled differently. Call us to review it.
Can I travel outside the U.S. with DACA?
Only with Advance Parole approved before you leave. Never travel without talking to us first.
